Affiliate disclosure

How ParentWorth makes money, and why it never decides a verdict.

ParentWorth is free to read. It is paid for in two ways, and neither one decides a verdict.

Affiliate links

Some links to products or services are affiliate links. If you buy through one, ParentWorth may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Articles that contain affiliate links show a short notice near the top, and those links are marked sponsored for search engines.

Affiliate programs ParentWorth currently takes part in (updated September 2026):

  • Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate, ParentWorth earns from qualifying purchases.

Product links use short addresses on this site, such as parentworth.com/affiliate/product-name/, that forward you to the retailer. The button or link text always names the store, for example “Check current price on Amazon”. ParentWorth doesn’t show Amazon prices, because they change often; the price you see on Amazon is the one that applies.

Display advertising

ParentWorth shows ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are labelled “Advertisement” and are kept separate from article content. Advertisers do not see articles before they are published and have no say in them. How ad cookies are used is explained in the privacy policy, and you can change your choices at any time in the cookie settings.

How this protects the verdicts

  • Options are compared before any affiliate link is added.
  • When the cheaper option, a second-hand option or “don’t buy it” is the right answer, that is the verdict, even when it earns nothing.
  • Nobody can pay for a verdict, a ranking or a positive mention. Sponsored content, if it is ever published, will be labelled “Sponsored” at the top.
